This subject will cover some theoretical and practical aspects of International Relations and main International Organizations. Students will be introduced to the basic elements of the International Relations theories and then they will analyze the main International Organizations such as UN, NATO, OSBE and EU. 3 basic aspects will be examined: What is the purpose of these organizations? How are they organized structurally? How do they acheive their objectives.

At the end of this course, students will be able to: - Recognize the main theories of International Relations and their features - Be familiar with the main International organizations not only from the perspective of the national systems, but also with the way they operate and solve their problems. - Recognize the main actors in conflicts and crisis situations and identify their capabilities and weaknesses. Be able to make a comparative analysis of the main International Organizations.
