This subject aims at giving participants an overview of the International Relations policy with specific reference in the International Security Law, its importance in the practice by refereeing all the relevant case law of intervention.. Students will become familiar with the actors engaged to promote security, binding nature of the UN Resolution Council and EU external Action, legal base of the International Security Law and will identify the key factors that undermine security in the world and in the Western Balkan.

Having completed this class, participants should be able to understand international security legal system, main actors (UN and EU) involving to maintain and promote security in the world, factors that undermine international security and to understand the most discussed topic in practice such as Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq intervention referring to the UN resolution Council.
