Description

The aim of this course is introducing students to English literature. It covers the period from the eighteenth century to the present day. In this course you will study texts from different literary genres such as poetry and prose.

Objectives

To equip students with knowledge about the major works of English literature in chronological order. Students will be introduced to various writers in different literary periods and their most famous works. At the end of the semester students will submit themselves to the written exam to test not only the gained knowledge, but mainly the ability to use the knowledge in literary critical analysis and they will make a presentation about the authors of their own choice under the guidance of a professor.
