The course aims an understanding of short stories from American and English literature. The environment, characters, and literary style are analyzed by studying the author's and cultural background.
- Objectives
-
This course introduced the students to the basic terms and concepts related to literature genres which are essential to understand and interpret literary works. The terms and concepts will be defined and explained through sample texts. The students will have an opportunity to discus and analyze selected texts individually and in small groups during class activities, and write essays applying key literary concepts and terminology. The course will improve the students’ oral, writing and collaborative skills.
