Description

This course is designed to develop students’ academic writing skills in English. It focuses on the structure and organization of academic texts, the development of coherent and cohesive paragraphs and essays, and the effective use of sources. Through guided practice, students learn to express ideas clearly and formally, appropriate to an academic context, while avoiding plagiarism and respecting citation norms.

Objectives

To introduce the key elements of academic writing, including structure, coherence, and formal tone. To guide students in developing well-organized essays and research-based texts. To enhance skills in paraphrasing, summarizing, and quoting academic sources. To build competence in revising, editing, and peer-reviewing written work. To foster awareness of academic integrity and referencing standards.
